Abusers are Like Actors, In Their Own Melodrama

They have rehearsed the lines all their lives. Repeated them so often they become them.

The play never ends, it’s always a sad melodrama, and when the curtain falls and their stage spouse dies, they get up, dust off and grab the understudy and the show goes on the next night. New venue, same show.

Abusers are like actors that borrow a character for life. If they are playing make-believe, they never have to look in a mirror and see themselves. Just the makeup and costume they put on.

Abusers are like actors because they’re often underemployed, demanding, ego-centric and require center stage.
